  • ¿Cúando es necesario realizar una inspección para mi velero?
    Se solicitará una ITB completa si la embarcación tiene más de 20 años y una inspección de estado mediante un perito naval si el barco tiene bandera extranjera. Esta inspección debe ser exhaustiva y cubrir todos los aspectos que afectan al estado y la seguridad de la embarcación, incluyendo el casco, los equipos y la integridad estructural de todos los componentes. También debe contener información sobre la antigüedad de la jarcia y en el caso de barcos de acero, un informe de ultrasonidos. El informe no puede tener más de 5 años de antiguedad. Cuenta con un plazo de 14 días desde el alta para proporcionar la inspección, si ésta no se recibe en este plazo o no cumple con los requisitos mencionados anteriormente, se cancelará la póliza y se realizará su reembolso.

Estos accesorios suelen ser costosos de reemplazar y es importante tenerlos cubiertos. El seguro de embarcación suele cubrir daños accidentales, incendios, robos, daños malintencionados, daños por tormenta y tu responsabilidad por daños o lesiones a terceros. Sin embargo, no cubrirá desgaste, rotura, depreciación, deterioro gradual, averías mecánicas, daños causados deliberadamente por ti o mano de obra defectuosa. Si estás considerando el seguro de embarcación de Yachtsman, es recomendable leer detenidamente las políticas y condicionados para conocer las coberturas y exclusiones específicas.
